Rice Fest

Lions making repairs to various parade floats including our Rice Festival Queen's Float.

Moving our train tracks from the Lions Warehouse to the Rice Festival grounds. Lots of Lions helped make strides to get ahead of our work schedule setting up!

The 2022 Rice Festival runs from Oct. 20 - Oct. 23. and is held at the Matagorda County Fairgrounds. Free parking all around the fairgrounds and $20 VIP parking passes available. Queens Pageant is on Saturday, Sept. 24th at 7:00 PM at the Bay City High School Theatre Festival. Rice Dish Roundup will be held on October 18th, 2022. Public viewing of Rice Dishes will be from 3:30 to 4:30 PM on that day Award ceremony will be held in the Fairgrounds Multi-purpose building starting at 4:30 PM. This Just In

Lion District Governor Vicky Dulin addressed our club and spoke about our upcoming District 2S-4 Convention and awarded Bay City Lion Members chevron pins to wear on their vests designating their years of service and dedication with the club. She also ceremonially initiated 4 new Lion members. She will return to grace us with her presence during our 2022 Rice Festival in several weeks.


The Bay City Lions Club in conjunction with the Bay City Rotary Club went together on a joint project to help Mrs Ruth Grovey of Bay City. Mrs. Grove needed a wheelchair ramp to get to her automobile, since she was becoming unable to group and down the steps of her home. With the help of these men and women, Mrs. Grovey now has a36’ ramp to help her get in and out of her home.
